No, I'm not singing an old cowboy song but I'm refering to getting the T-Bird back on the road. After about 3 years of setting idle (the car, not me) I threw the charger on it, dumped some gas down the carb and with a little bit of verbal coaxing the old 'Bird fired up. Once it had warmed up I drove it up and down the road a bit, tranny and brakes are in great working order. I want to plate it and take it in and find out where all the exhaust noise is coming from. It could be a bad donut, cracked manifold or ...who knows. I quit driving it because it was getting too load and I couldn't afford to get it fixed. I still don't really have the money but after driving it again I really want to get it back on the road. Hopefully in a week or 2 I can get it done. So you may be seeing more of me on here and maybe at a few shows.
Hi guys. Yep, I'm hoping to get the "bird back on the road soon and find time to see some you at a meet somewhere. I'm shooting for Frankenmuth. I hope it's ok I'm stilling running the Nightmares plaque.
So........................think you can just drop out of sight and waltz back in here and expect to be welcomed back with open arms? FAT CHANCE!!!................it's going to cost you. I don't know about the others but somewhere around $35,000 will soothe my hurt feelings. Or....... maybe just stop over and say your sorry. Frank
