B Engine Water Inlet Location

I have what I belive is a Model B engine Only the Water inlet is more to the rear of the block than normal is this a mod or just odd ford engine
I have checked other B models and they are all in the center of the block
hope tou can help colin

 

Easiest way to tell a model a block from model b is fuel pump boss at lower front passenger side of block on the 'B'.

Can you get pictures of both sides of the block? I don't think this will turn out to be B, but who knows. I've never seen an A or B block with inlet anywhere but center.

 

I have been into Model B engines for several years but have never heard of anything like you describe. I would tend to think it is not a Model B engine. As Bruce said, pictures would resolve the question quickly.
