    Hello,

Collecting parts for my AV8 project and my question is will a 41 ford rear end, shaft and tube work with a 39 top loader transmission and is the width of the 41 rear the proper width for the model A. I plan on using Tardel's K-member and model A frame.

    Thanks

    Sorry guys,
With the amount of replies I got, I guess that was a stupid question. I had to make a quick decision to buy the rear end or not and wasn't sure if it was gonna work...I bought it anyway.

Here you go... I borrowed this from 117harv. The '41 was the last of the narrow Ford banjo rear axles... Good score...

Chris is on a road trip or he would probably chime in with the info you need. It looks like your banjo will work but you might have to swap torque tubes. I've got that issue of the magazine with those pages in it but have no idea of which box it's in now.

If you save those pages to your computer you should be able to expend them so that they are a lot easier to read.
