    What a shocker!

Introduced myself to him as a fellow HAMBER at a local cruise night about 3 years ago, instant connection. He never failed to recognize and acknowlege me if he saw me first whenever and wherever we ran into each other several times after that. A true gentleman, I feel blessed to have known him if only for a short time. I have a feeling he has passed the flame in a fitting manner to the youngest generation, may he RIP knowing the fine examples he set will not be forgotten.

  4. Sitting here with tear filled eyes wondering when the shock will wear off - if ever - and what to write. Back when I was new to the HAMB Paul was one of the first guys I met who I can say I wouldn't have know if it wasn't for the HAMB. This place that Ryan built has since brought many, many new people into my life but I still remember that day at the Drive-In where Paul introduced himself to me and then just went on to chat as if we'd known each other forever. A more genuine, honest, unassuming, competent, person you'll never meet. You whole HAMB family will miss you Paul, but we're all so much better off having known you or shared the wisdom or humor of your posts.

    R.I.P. Paul

Here's a HAMB Meet and Greet with Paul on the right end from 2004

Paul's AV8 roadster was one of the cars that inspired me to start my own AV8. Any time I would post an update on my progress on this and other forums, he would always respond with encouragement and helpful tips. When I finally flash the flattie for the first time I will be thinking of him and hoping that the sound of the pipes meets with his approval. My sincere condolences to his wife and family. Godspeed Paul! Thank you for all your help and encouragement!

What very sad news. I'm glad he spent his last 24 hours doing what he loved to do.

Anybody know of a memorial get-together here Back East?

My understanding is that Paul will be cremated out in AZ, then brought back home in a couple of weeks and there will be a memorial service. We'll get the details up here.

RIP Paul. You're car is amazing and is the inspiration for the 1931 Model A sport coupe I am building. I never met you, but feel a loss.

Paul was one of my idols...not just in his hot rod style but in how he lived life to the fullest.

Here's a clip from Bonneville in 2008..."bringing breakfast to the boys"...a true friend.

R.I.P. brother Paul, I wasn't fortunate enough to meet the man, but always got the best vibe thru his friends talk about him. His roadster is one of the cleanest classy builds ever. ~sololobo~

That's terrible news, I just interviewed him and shot his car for my flathead movie.
