My Girlfriend's Father lives in the Austin area and we are heading over to visit 14th-27th October this year. Last time i went(2011) we were lucky enough to time it right for the Lonestar Roundup which was great. Are there any Hot Rod shows/meets going on then? I need to get my fix!!

    Thanks!

Ok, so I have been here for a week and have seen barely a handful of vehicles over 30 years old... I'm here for another week, is there anything going on at all? small evening cruises, shows, anything at all? cool car places to visit?

    Thanks

  7. Look up Austin Speed Shop or Mercury Charlies....both in Austin

go to ginny's longhorn saloon on sunday for chicken shit bingo

go to the broken spoke any night of the week for live music in a historic dancehall

go to the continental club on south congress for live music, but check the website first to see who's playing...

If good american rock and roll music is what you are after, this Saturday night and this Saturday night only, Nasty's in Austin will be the place to be. (Again, there won't be any old cars out there with the weather.)

Our pals Jimmy Dale and TJ Mayes will be swinging down from Oklahoma to play.
