But nothing crazxy new to be honest...rods are getting a bit stale around here...no ones really pushing the envolope!

Some neat customs slowly getting better each show...

    Hi Maiki;
Hey we didn't get to meet, another time man and then I will have to put some lines on your EK. I had a great weeknend did enough striping not to overload on it, talked to heaps of great people and just generally socked in the great atmosphere, even in todays rain. Take it easy mate, PS those images were just like being there !!!!
    Geoff aka who daky

  10. Hey Geoff, I saw you there but you were always busy and I didn't want to be rude! U have a great crazy pinstripe style!

  13. GREAT PICS!I want to see that Holden when it's finished. One that I really liked was the Nash;and the neatest trick(and I'll probably get called on it)was the Deuce roadster with the stock rear fenders on it.I think it really looks sharp.
    Thanks for posting.

didnt even pull the camera out, too much rain, pitty, I think it kept alot of cars away. I did see about a dozen other cars heading in when I was heading out, but great photos.

Hey if the cars are getting stale , you better stop flappin and start buildin! [IMG] [IMG]

  16. Flatoz: you shoulda been there Saturday. Much better day (obviously). Big crowd. Was feeling a bit under the weather myself after Friday night's beers and music.

Some pics.....not many as I don't get out much!!!

  18. Added a body to the head I already had for the Tiki (by GAV) inside my front door.

    Attached Files:

  19. A delivery that was flamed and partly pinstriped over the weekend.

There was also that chop/section/tudored FJ (which will be raffled when completed), tiki carving, tattooing and tiki carving over the weekend.

If some of you other Aussie HAMBers didn't get there on Saturday, you REALLY missed out. [IMG]

LUCKILY I was in the coolest garage of the weekend!!! [IMG] [IMG]

Dang guys that takes a lot of know how and big balls to take that on. Peddro do you carve the tiki's?The delivery looks like it will turn out nice. TP

  22. MKK: the FJ will be finished COMPLETELY before it's raffled either next year or the year after. Carps can tell you more...WHEN he chimes in. I'm SURE he WILL follow the progress of the car for all of us on the HAMB to see. [IMG]

TP: Me, carve??!! Not likely!! [IMG] Those tikis are done by Gav, a good friend, and fellow cohort in our garage over the weekend.

Here's Dom Sansonetti doin' a bitta stripin' for that 57 caddy.....plus plugging Burnout for Nash!!

Count on that. We're gunna do a comparo shhot with my stock bodied car just as soon as it's been tidied up and all the body welding finished. Shouldn't take too long.

Thatcar was built overnight (or that's how it seemed at the time) by the KOA crew and auctined at The Picnic a couple of years back. Bill Agius was the lucky bidder and he's since pretty much completely rebuilt it and made it one of the neatest traditional styled rods in the land. It looks better each time we see it. Take a close look and you might even be able to tell it's actually built on a Chevy chassis or that it has lengthened doors for easier entry and exit. I'm not sure where the glass rear fenders came from, but it's likely that Chopper made the mould from an original '32 unit by welding a right and left fender together.

  25. That pic was taken on Sunday, after he'd had a full night sleep (Dom piked it at about 10pm) and, therefore, was no longer shaking, nor falling asleep, as per Saturday!!

Hey sorry Maiki, it was 'Coolest Cruizer"

Top Kustom was Paul Naughton's chopped '50 Ford Coupe, yeah we give the top awards to primered cars, scary huh? In fact just looking thru the awards list, only a handfull of the winners wore shiney paint. Stuff like the green Hawg for Top Bike, the Mustang GT500 (gennie) that won top Muscle car and Tony Kuchell's custom F100 which was Top Coommerical. I'll post the full list later.

Since iw as busy with other stuff for the most part I had to sneak out to take foters, only shot a dozen rolls of 36 over the entire weekend.

Proved that you can have fun without food or sleep for three days, dunno if we could have gone four tho. [IMG] [IMG]

Whaddaya mean late night? Shit you young guys left a good hour or so before us allegedly 'old' blokes! We figured you couldn't hack the pace, or was it something to do with those surfie chicks? [IMG]

Yeah, I dunno how you can lay claim to being the magazine guru when you don't own a real camera? [IMG] But the boys did say you had some good polaroids from Friday night.

The car will be completely finished, painted and upholstered etc over the next 18 months and given away to the lucky ticket holder at the 2006 KOA Nats.

Chopper will need all the help he can get with both labour and parts etc. So if any of you think you can help in either respect, please give him a call on (03) 9796 2251

    Shame about the weather guys,

Yeah, hottest and driest Dec/Jan in 25 years and the one day it rains, it rains on our friggin parade! Can ya believe it?

Dom, had to have a steady hand for the next day, besides there were only two surfie chicks between three blokes and he drew the short straw and ended up stuck with us old old married blokes. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
