    Thanks all for the replies

Thought I best update this and round it out somewhat.

Late last year headed to the Asphalt Demons run here in Queensland, was a cool show where you dirt drag and they had a mud pit. It's set on a nice property surrounded by hills, met some cool people form the Barons moto club too which was neat.

Then it was full on getting it ready for rego before my birthday, made it by one day.

First highway drive at 60mph, was a top day.

Also lately I was lucky enough to participate in the River City Reliability Run. The best car weekend I've ever had, can't thank Thommo enough for putting us up for the weekend and the club for putting on such a great run.
Had a great copilot for the weekend, thanks again for coming Tone.

Roadster looks great Pat. Color choice on the wheels really works.

Great looking car that I haven't yet seen. Hopefully you'll bring it along to a Baron's day soon.
I'm in the early stages of a model A build so inspiration is needed.

Outstanding craftsmanship and taste! The boxing plates are almost too beautiful to cover up. The dash and steering wheel combo is perfect.
I also made a similar tach drive based on the SW unit. I'm using the same gauges in an early SW/Chris Craft panel.

  13. Wow! Just found this thread. Truly one of the nicest traditional builds without excess. Like many others, I really liked your boxing plates. Thanks for sharing your build!

  17. P-Moore, love the work you have done on this.. I have one question; as a teenager growing up in the bush (out of Broken Hill), in the 60's, I was an avid rod kid.. I noticed one of the cars in your photos of Boogaloo, featured a black Model T bucket..Would that have been an ex Ian Splatt car? It is tho only one I can remember from those days of over 50 yrs ago.. Great work and live the thought behind the concept..

Pat- I just ran across this thread, and I think this is the most beautiful A-v8 I have ever seen! Really perfect choice of components and fabrication! One question- when you put the quickchange in the 36 rear, it lowers the torque tube connection. Do you have any pictures of how you shortened and modified the bones to reconnect under the torque tube?

    Thanks
    Matt

    Thanks Matt.
I just cut the rear of the radius rods off the forged spring hanger section, shortened and pie cut the end and welded back onto the forged part.
I did weld solid shaft onto the forged part and slid the shortened radis rod over it then welded up holes id drilled to give it extra strength, hasn`t cracked yet :D .
