I posted these pics in response to another thread on a dual purpose Tudor Sedan/Delivery. The pics below are of an Aussie four door sedan/delivery.

I believe there were a half dozen or so, however I think they were 4 door slantbacks extended with a delivery style rear for luggage. As far as I know, they were coachbuilt, and used for transferring passengers from Sydney to Brisbane when air services only operated between Melbourne and Sydney.

I remember this car was on ebay here at least 5 years ago. I would guess it was based on a four door sedan with the rear of the cab stretched back behind the fenders to create the cargo section. Definitely modified by a coach builder, as the rear of the body is quite vertical then slopes forward above the beltline.

Anyone else able to shed light on them, or know what happened to this one?

I remember talking to the guy when he had it advertised, he was sure they were used for transferring passengers and their luggage.

A few year's ago I saw a Reo Flying Cloud (?) in a paddock which had been used by Reg Ansett in the late 30's early 40's for transporting passengers. Apparently before he was in the people transportation buisiness he was a fruitier, and in the early days he didn't have a licence to carry paying passengers so you would 'buy' an apple and he would take you where you needed to go!!

Can't help with this 36 though....

The guy who owned it said it was an Ansett vehicle.
