Ok, it seems that some people are scrambling to get rooms for the Pileup. Good luck finding anything in Morris. I call almost daily and check and they just laugh at me. (Then they tell me that there are no rooms.) No respect, I tell ya, no respect. I've done some looking and there are plenty of rooms within a 20 mile radius, which isn't too bad, as long as you aren't all liquored up. Rooms in Joliet are near the riverboats if gambling is your thing! Here they are... some searching online would net you a toll-free number, but I aint doing it!: Warning! bttt for a new week. (made it to page 7) I was told by most of the hotels in Morris that if there are cancellations... they almost always happen the day before or the day of checkin... so it might be worth booking a hotel elsewhere and checking back in Morris to see if something closer opens up.
its getting close... we are still looking for a room at the Holiday Inn... at this point we are going to have to stack ourselves. (stacking is kinda like spooning, but less gay)

I have stayed at the Joliet Marriot and am going to again this year- about 20 minutes to the pileup and shares a parking lot with a cracker barrel to boot (if thats your thing)

I am stayin at Super 8 -Peru,ILL yes a few more miles [but I drive that far for gas here!] It is 50 dollarsA NITE/[TWO BEDS]- and still had some rooms last nite Especially for those coming in from Iowa and anywhere west of Morris on I-80 it is just North off exit #75......... Yeah, he PMd me, and at that time nobody needed anything. There was one with 2 queen beds at the Comfort in for $199 a night... must be some sort of convention in town...
