    Hey,

Does anyone know of a good machine shop with Flathead experience preferably in Western Australia? I want to rebuild my flatty but want to get the block inspected for cracks before i spend money on relieving/polishing and parts.

oh and a shop that does acid washing. I've hunted high and low!

    Cheers

Yep Con Adamos at Balcatta engine reconditioners did my 8BA and has done a number of others over the years.

He is very easy to get on with and I was very happy with the price and his work

    Cheers

PS I should have said he bored and relieved the block, refaced the valves and seats, put in new cam bearings, resized the rods and put in new little ends in, hot tanked it and arranged for it to balanced (had to be sent out). I didn't get him to do the crank as I picked up a merc crank already machined.
