  5. Does not seem to be much interest in 70's style cars yet.

An easy answer to your question will be found in the very first part of the guidelines for HAMB:

"If you've come here to discuss anything other than Hot Rods or Customs built in a style representative of 1965 or before, you've come to the wrong forum."

Not really Hamb era correct, I suppose, but some sweet rides all the same. FWIW the owner/builder of the T-bucket is a personal friend. It won a major award at Cleveland WoW in it's day. He now builds rods down in Virginia.

I'd like to see more of the pics... That era of hot rodding is greatly under appreciated in my opinion.... Whatever you do... Don't throw them away just because they aren't popular with most guys.... If it comes to that, I want them!

I guess the owner of the 32 sedan wanted to be able rotate his tires! i'd like to see them too.

  12. Late 60s early 70s builds will be "mostly" traditional styled except for wheels and paint. After that there's a bunch of crazy OT stuff that doesn't make much sense to anyone. Probably acid droppers who finally got a job and built a car is the only way my mind can make sense of some of that crap.

  14. I don't have a problem with the photo's,it's not like your posting and cars that we mass produced after '65.

The are hot rods and at that time there were very few 1-800 hot rods running around,,keep them coming.

Gatlinburg,Peoria these photos hark back to a time when just seeing a hot rod out on the highway traveling to a distant destination was exciting. HRP

70's HOT ROD pics are cool. most cars were traditional back then and didn't even know it.

  21. Early 70's..by the mid to late 70's it was 2 tone paint, chrome wire wheeled resto rods with cowl lights and luggage racks on the back worn by guys with cowboy hats with a large feather on it...about sums it up?

Glad to hear you have a lot more, as I am enjoying them. Most cars in those pics so far are pretty traditional and had just been "updated" with the ugly tires that were popular at the time.

You deleted the post saying you had 400-500 to go? I hope you still plan to show them all.... The places they were taken were places I frequented with my dad as a kid. I think these pics must date back 8 or 10 years before I was there.

  29. I have 60-75 scanned pics from Gatlinburg very early 70's I'll post tonight and tomorrow..need to get back to work..
