Are these 53 wheel covers adapted to fit aftermarket 15" smoothie rims (they don't look like the original 53 backs)?
Yes. There are two types of 53 caps. Ones that are centre mount and the rare outer ring mount, but for both of these you need the 53 style rim. THe ones you show look as though they have been adapted to suit other style rims. I have 3 53 Cadillacs so I know the differences.
It looks to me like trim rings have been adapted to the back side. That's what I'm working on presently with my set of 53's.
