Going back to the middle/end of the nineties, when this place was so small, different, and quaint , people I remember were Samlyam, Bruiser, Tman, Rocky,Ryan, Chili Phil (I think), and myself. I'm #29.

First 50 Hambers stand up and be accounted. Just curious who still frequents this neck of the woods.

Interesting... there was a Hiptorian Club in Stow, Mass. in 1912....
Hiptorians were hipsters but no known reference to hiptorians back that far....

The number you hover over to see is not an original Hamb join number it's just the join number of the current version of the board. Ive been on the board for probably around 15 years but there were plenty before me and I see them post occasionally.

Rich, You've got to fully wake up from your nap before posting. He was asking about the first 50 not the first 500. It's no wonder us old guys get such a ribbing from the youngsters. We go off the deep end the minute we're 5 minutes late taking our meds.:D

    Who is the first?

  21. The first HAMBers had to go through a blood initiation. To get out you have to take a beat down, usually resulting in death. :eek:It's a much kinder and gentler place now.........god I miss the old days.

  22. What hasn't been done before?

I'm waiting on the thread of the first 1182,,then I can get in on the game!:D HRP

I had joined way back when. I don't know if I was in the first 50 but I got away from it for a few years. When I came back I couldn't remember my sign in name so I just rejoind under the name I'm using now. I'd like to know my original number but don't have any idea how to figure out my original sign in name. Normal Norman

    It don't matter..

I joined a couple different times starting in 02. JAWS is the only one I remember and I think it was something else. Then I started my company and this is the acronym.

Who gives a shit anyway....I come in and look around when I ain't got nothing going on. Same with the rest of the old ones I suspect. Some I stay in contact with still.

And just in case you're on a Mac and not a PC, simply click on your name and drag it a little.. The ghost URL that shows up close by your mouse will show your numbers on the end.

I joined sometime around '98 or '99 under my full name, busted in asking if anybody had any 394 Olds parts for sale, was promptly handed my ass by what I took for internet goons.
I did get one pm, or email? from someone that gave me your number.
I called, I think your gal answered, I was surprised how civilized you were after the on line bashing by some of the other HAMB hooligans,
but you still didn't have any Olds parts for sale- ha! :)
I pretty much disapeared for a few years rejoining late '02

  28. Ain't THAT the truth. I was in hospital for a WEEK!!!

Does anyone realise that this incarnation has been around for 12 years??

I still remember the notification that we all would have to re-sign in, seems like there were hundreds of us, but prolly fewer than 300 at the time...

  29. The first 50 registered names. One, Speedfreak, has never posted. He is also one of the very few HAMBers I have met in person, through contact on the HAMB (earlier incarnation). That meeting may have assisted my second divorce, through no fault of his (long story). Cosmo

I admit it. I had my ass handed to me more than once. Hence the reason for more than one registration. I would heal and come back in for more abuse a time or two later...Then after a hiatus I came back in 05, got it handed again, but laughed it off.
