He walks the walk too and has done for years, way before Trad hot rods became popular ... here is his 29 closed cab shop truck... Riley OHV , twin SUs , on a G28T and an OD trans behind one of his own bellhousings.
It's not new , been around for years.

    Hello banger friends,

I am looking for a wide front motor mount for a Model B engine, I believe they are from '33-34 and the holes are 19" apart - does anybody have one they would like to sell?

    Thanks,
    Will Kimble

He is running a Holley 94 that we have dialed in with an exhaust gas analyzer. We both have real steep drives, 18% at one point. Creeping along my car, set up basically the same way but an A engine, pulls good at 600 to 800 RPM. He had to run faster up the hill or stall. The only real difference in the engines is the cams. I'm running a 'B' grind.
We both have A transmissions and I am running a 3:78/1 rear end ratio and he has 4:11. I have smaller rolling radius on my tires but my final drive ratio is a little higher.
He has a 4 into 1 header and glass pack
    I have stock exhaust
Come try my driveway and a hill that we call 'Heart Break Hill' that is 9% for just under a mile, I out pull him.

  17. I' running a 1A in my lakes modified and while it is not driven on the street it is a very tractable engine. It will idle around 600 w.ith dual C's

  18. Thanks Bill, I was planning on two BB's so it sounds possible.

Chocolate Myers explains in the documentary clip above:

"We're racing at Richmond, and he's got the car -- it's totally covered in mud -- and he hollers on the radio, "Richard, I need to pit." And Richard says, "Dale, I'd hate to come in and pit, lose all that track position." And Dale comes on the radio and says, "I'm gonna be off the radio for a few minutes." And then you see Dale driving with his knee and got one head and he's cleaning the windshield off." * Richmond*
GOT TO LOVE THE MAN ................... steve

On the t-5 ,I used a Miller- High speed Head company Adaptor plate with a AA bell which moves the 88 s10 trans up about an inch . this set up uses a stock clutch disc and plate that I got from speed way . Has the open drive to the quickchange peddles are on a bracket that comes with the kit Bill Sheer was great to Deal with

Looks like you had a good time Joe. That thing is bad to the bone. What trans did you put in there? Bob.

  27. Thanks GASSERBOB, I had a BLAST!!!!!! I'm running a 39 trans with a Clings adapter. I'm looking forward to the next race but I need to use some different tires, maybe some HURST PIE CRUST cheater slicks and weld my spider gears? Ha Ha, I do have QC though! An LSD is what I really want! or a Spool if I have too!?
