There was more cars running three Carbs than running a single at the FAST hill climb. Most ran duels.
Here is a shot of the old man's new car. Better looking up close. IMG_2975_zpscced63d7.jpg 011.JPG

  3. Looks like I'm about to join the ranks of the overcarbureted :)

Carburetors will only flow as much as the engine will draw no more
I have used twin and triple 81s over the years with very few if any jet changes
the slight hesitation just off idle with 81s I find is lean spot and my fix is to open the idle tube jet 1 or 2 sizes the other way is to swap them out for stock idle tube jets from 97s they are a round 3 sizes bigger
this will not effect idle mixture that is set by mixture screws just the amount of fuel from high speed idle jet

I'm not really sure of the cam as I bought the car set up the way she is but the exhaust is a REDS and the distributor is the FS.
I want to say its a Model B cam but I could be wrong.

  7. Starting over.....
Last year due to college tuition bills and lack of space I sold my Model B Tudor. I recently was able to convince a model A friend of mine to sell me his stashed away B motor. Plan is to over the next year build the motor up. I am still deciding how that will go (more than stock, less than Overheads). In the mean time should I tear down and get the motor parts magnafluxed? How much can be done on it while I am deciding things like babbit vs inserts and head compression?

You should at least have the block checked for cracks. The last B engine I built, took 4 cores to find one that was crack free. 2 of them were junk and the other could be fixed.
