I found one thread on here from a few years ago, maybe I could get an update from those guys as well.

I'm just wondering what kind of life expectancy you can get out of one.

Also, how would they be for a daily driver and cold weather driving?

    Thanks.

I have always wanted a SBC with a Holley 174 on it. Seems like a good little blower, should fit under most hoods, and not too crazy to build a drivetrain around.

got a 144 on my wagon with a 406 sbc, 2000 stall, 3:73 gear runs 7.6s in 1/8 your limited on amount of boost and you have to watch oil level but it adds 80-100 horse and can't complain about that, the 174 should be better.

I installed a Weiand 142 on my flattie in 2003. 16,000 miles later and no problems.
