Called Dad this morning about the info you guys posted and he was thrilled.

It's still in good overall condition, it just needs a little tinkerin from where it has been sitting. I think some of the new found history on it has caused inspiration for him to work on it.

I think the first thing on the agenda is to get rid of the spoke wheels and put chromed reversed ones back on it.

well i better chime in after marv built it, alan mock had it then after that lonnie gilbertson had it and painted it candy red, lonnie sold it at one of the portland swap meets, my dad almost bought it then, it was sold to a guy in another state and the front end was wrecked by one of his workers and thats were we lost track of it. lonnie knows all about in fact i talked to him about it the other day, its funny to see it with the side pipes it didnt have those when it left portland. lonnie sold it because the body work was so bad, not rusty but all the side moldings were round tube that was not welded but screwed on and then mudded overe, lonnie just covered it up and said he painted it. it was really neat when he first got it done. if you really want to know more get a hold of lonnie gilbertson, he was always upset at marv because marv wouldnt work on the car lonnie wanted to restore it and then he stripped it and found out why marv didnt want to touch it. and as anybody knows about lonnie if its not perfect he doesnt want it.

i just talked to my dad and the guy who bought it from lonnie was from georgia, he had some car dealership, dad stayed in touch with him for a while cause he wanted my dad 34 ford, thats how dad knew about the front end damage dad tried to do some trading with him to get the car back up here, but it got wrecked and the guy didnt know what he was going to do with it and dad lost touch with him.

It's official, Dad wants to sell it.
He has had fun working on it and cruising it this summer but now he has decided it needs a new home. He is downsizing his collection in general.
A few of you guys expressed interest if it came up for sale, PM me for details.

Best of luck with the sale. Whether or not it's to your taste, it's a bonafide icon of American customs.

Does being bonafide make it worth more or less? :D

I'll pass the compliments along to Dad.
