anyone named their kids after cars / parts ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fluiddrive1949, Jan 9, 2012.

  1. I hate to say this, but naming your kid after a car part is almost reminiscent of Johnny Cash's song "a boy named sue".

There is a car salesman in my area who's name is Dusty Rhodes. kinda weird...car salesman named Dusty Rhodes. On an off topic note, we named our dog Buckshot. it was unique I thought

  3. Oh you are bad George! Choo choo.:p

I went to school with a guy named Matt Bates. One teacher used to try and be overly formal, and referred to all the young male students as "Master":D

I know a guy that named his son Miller Lite. No bullshit. Miller Lite McConaughey. What's that? Any relation to Matthew McConaughey? Yes, Matthew is his uncle. Sometimes I hate where I live and sometimes I don't.

I have been trying to talk my wife into Miller if we have a boy. I really like it, but may not fair to well with my last name Miller Highley........... "Miller Highlife". She is currently pregnant with our first. I have been thinking of every car related name I can think, that is as normal as possible.

I just named my first kid "Paxton". He is my first kid and I have been involved in rebuilding vintage Paxton Superchargers, but modifing them for the newer style paxton internals.

I specialize on converting the original VR57 Paxton/McCulloch blowers which were factory installed on '57 Ford cars and '57 Thinderbirds.

My '57 Ford 2dr Sedan has a Factory Paxton/McCulloch VR57 Blower on it and it is my favorite car.

So yes, we proudly named him after a Supercharger from my favorite car!

He is about to be 8 months old, and is quite a "Supercharged" little guy.

I was thinking the same thing. Funny... change that, Sad how men can aquire PMS with age.

To the dude who started this thread, name your kid whatever you want to, keeping their dignity in mind, and don't worry about their "do a search" and "shouldn't be a parent" and other PMS related comments. They're just pissed cause the wife named the kids Sam, Joe, and Sue.

I named my youngest girl Vicki because of a 33 ford I had. A local business man named his daughter NOVA,kinda cool.

My first son is named Lincon, he is 5 and his younger brother Hudson is 3. We are going to build a 49 Lincoln Cosmo into a Hot Rod Lincoln, and a 51 Hudson Hornet into a Hot Rod Hornet! I think my wife and I are done, but I was willing to name the third boy Nash. I'm not sure what year we would have used for his hot rod.

I always thought I wanted to name our kids Zora and Arkus, but the drug wore off before we had them.

Some of you might recall a local man turned "celebrity", Dick Assman. David Letterman ran with that one for awhile. :D

Grew up in eastern Canada and spent far too much time in the 1960's at the old WWII airfield-cum-dragstrip in Pennfield, New Brunswick. A good buddy gave his second son the middle name: Pennfield. Told his wife it was an old family name and he wanted to homour it by bestowing it upon his son. Not even sure if the kid knows where his middle name came from. I never told...

Gotta couple guys here in Boise in the phone book with strange names. Grey Ghost and Dick Buttram. The ol' lady wants to name our first Nash Jackson Stevenson if it's a boy.
