Hello, I was going to sell this car til today I received email from guy regarding a small amount of history on it. I was told it was built in 70’s and advertised it so but turned out this info was incorrect. This gentleman was friends with the owner in 70’s and informed me it was built a lot earlier and in the 60’s was at Oakland National roadster show? It was solid green flake paint with chrome wheels and had a top. It was named the “Green Hornet”. Heavy channel with a 56 Olds motor. In 70’s was owned by a man named Rocky Reynolds but looking for any info beyond him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Any help appreciated. Thanks Traces of the green flake paint left on body but under is a light blue color. Maybe someone recognizes it as light blue??
The gauges are consistent with the 60's time period. The wood dash is extremely nicely done. Basically a '32 roadster dashboard formed out of wood. Some real nice workmanship in the car. Good luck finding out more about it.
What trans? Has a clutch pedal, but it looks like an automatic shifter. The roll bar is unique; that should hdelp ID'ing the car. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Equipped with hydramatic tranny but still has the clutch pedal and cylinder mounted and don’t know why. Didn’t want to tamper with the car and remove anything yet.
In my opinion the light blue paint would be mid to late 50's era. The metalflake early to mid 60's. I didn't even notice the car was channeled until the 3rd time looking through the pictures.
