Anyone have any more info or pictures on this truck? My friend had a picture saved of it, but I'd like more if possible. He said he thinks it was from Texas? Thanks!
Yea that's Elmer Clymer wanted in 3 states for public nudity. I know absolutely nothing about the truck but we have their attention now.
was built by a guy up in the Dallas area by the name of Honest Charlie. He sold it some years back and unfortunately the new owner decided to personalize it, and IMHO it lost all of it's character. It's currently for sale here in the classifieds. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=525202&highlight=chevy+truck
Yeah, I saw it back when it was bare metal. At a Canton swap meet. visited with the guy, pretty cool character. Very cool truck, way more tricks going on than you can see in the photos.
looked at the ad - what a TIThead that guy must be. PRIMO tells me all I need to know. Am I too old or do vehicles of ANY kind that sit right on the ground look as stupid to most gearheads as it does to me? What is the point? I like lowered cars, but gee whiz - I like boobies too...but not watermelons....sometimes too much is just really TOO MUCH. This is supposed to be a 'traditional' site....where' the tradition in scrapers with (I assume) airbags? dj
Man, that ad makes me very very sad. That was the coolest "AD" chevy truck I've ever seen, with arguably the most perfect chop ever executed on one. Charlie is a cool guy. I haven't seen him in a while and don't know what he's up to now, but he's still around. I would have lowered it differently, but it was built to be driven, speed bumps or not! Here's some more pictures before it got fucked up.
The original truck is channeled (body dropped??) and seemed to have enough clearance. I have to agree that bagging a vehicle just so you can it lay it on the ground is completely pointless a thing to do to any car.
