    The brand is Lucky Sound
    Model is SCR-902
google turns up NOTHING for both the specific model and the brand itself.
Can't find ANYTHING about this, hoping someone might!
    thanks!

I'm no expert but here are some ideas:
    1. The LUCKY SOUND® has a registered trademark symbol. I looked it up at uspto.gov but there were no hits, not even a dead one. A similar name (LUCKY SOUNDS) had two hits but isn't related to this.
    2. The brand name is printed on the cassette door. This leads me to believe that it's a private label. The real manufacturer would print the brand name of whoever ordered a minimum quantity to re-sell.
    3. Lucky is a common name among Chinese companies.
    4. It looks like the construction is all metal. Judging from this and the general style I would guess that it's from the very early days of music cassettes, circa 1972.
    5. I suggest looking elsewhere on or inside the unit to see if the actual manufacturer's name appears there. It's certainly possible that it doesn't if the manufacturer was making the player without paying the licensing fee to Phillips, the originator of cassette tapes.

It does say made in Korea on the back, so that sort of goes along with #3.
I'll pop it open and see if there's a name on the board.
    thanks

Looks like one that I got from Sears in the mid '70s. I don't remember if it actually said lucky sound though...

I agree with No. 5. I reckon whoever made it wasn't licensed and therefore, you'll never find out who it was. Nice find though.

It's a generic piece built by a contract house in Korea. I remember that Pan-Pacific would put any name you wanted on the product and packaging for a minimum order of 200 units.
What do you need to know about it?
