A buddy of mine sent me a link to this 1920 Stude for sale online and it's got a very interesting steering wheel I've never seen before. I have my suspicions on what's going on, but I would be interested to hear from someone who might have had one of these through their hands. Engine and full-body shots for reference in case it matters. Oh! And what are these light lenses for?! They're killer! Mike
I believe that wheel is a "Fat Man" wheel. Allows people more room to get in and out. It was an optional item.
I think those "lenses" are flower vases. My old 32 Chevy had some similar, only clear. They fit in holders on the dash or maybe B pillars on sedans. Someone will have pics I hope. .bjb
Yup- that's a fatman wheel, and those should be bud vases that hang inside, on the post between the front and rear doors (or wherever you want to hang them).
Flower vases and a fat man steering wheel. Both command some high dollars. Are the brackets in the back seat area for the vases???
