  2. Cool! I'm glad that it worked out for you. It's nice that somebody was able to use some of that old "junk".

Not anymore... I've stripped them clean of anything good since those pics were taken. I still have to go back to cut the grille surround off the white one, if I can pull that big ol' Nash off that's laying on it.

It doesn't look to bad for sitting outside for what looks like many years.

Old cars don't really rust here unless they are in the wet.

Here is a 1949 mercury that was in pretty bad shape.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  24. I have to admit I didn't even look through the whole thread. It broke my heart to see those cars after the first 4 or 5 post. My roots are Mercs and I hate to see them die. Father brought me home as a newborn in a 1953 Mercury Monterey 2dr hardtop he bought new, so yeah you might say i'm a Merury lover from way back. Would give anything if I could get back in the Merc game.

  27. Just picked this one up for 500.00. Using the grill surround and the back window in a 51. Also came with a 49 3 piece back window and surrounding metal. All the rust was just a bonus!!!!
