Hot Rods Anyone got any info on this inline filter

My friend found had this oil filter and I thought it was unique. I am wondering if anyone has ever seen another like it or know what it is off of? It aluminum and the mounting is attached to it. The pressure and return are in the base or mount itself. Any info would be appriciated. Polished up it may look good on the flathead.

 

sure looks like it fits on the side of a 216 Chevy, eh?

It's for a Chevy 216. Remove the kidney shaped 3 bolt cover of the oil distributor and bolt that filter on.

 

would it clear the exhaust?

 

toilet paper roll holder?

 

They clear any stock exhaust system. Duals on '49-'53 passenger can get tight ...

 

neat, that is much nicer than the ones clamped to the manifold.

 

The mount is angled. I don't see how it would mount on the 216 from the pics
