I'm a skinny ass.. It dont offend me a bit. And my 8Ba gets around 18-20 mpg even with a trunk full of groceries. Grocery gettin' Fords. Thats all there good for...
Saw something about that on the news last night. I blew it off as typical FUD-slinging. They made it sound like if you lost 30 lbs, you'd save hundreds of gallons of gas/year. Suuuuurrrrreeeeeee......
Be nice. Fat people have feelings too, but seriously lose weight you'll live longer(and save on gas).
I'm skinny ,too. If this gets obese people to lose weight, more power to them. It's a ridiculous premise, but more skinny chicks vs. orcabetties-I think the answer is clear
I don't know about gas mileage, but I know I'm gonna have to drop some if I ever want to wedge my fat ass into the '26 T in my garage. Here's a news headline New research shows that more people would take the news seriously if they reported real news instead of just making up some bullshit.
Next thing you know Fat people will be lobbying against skinny people to add balast to their new cars to make the MPGs equal. Maybe that is why our new Mustang does not get the MPG rating as advertised. I guess they had some skiny guy driving it when they figured that.
Yeah, like the driver weight is the biggest factor. Cars themselves have become bloated over the years. For every pound they save using plastic and aluminum in building it, they put .9 back in seat heaters, stereos, traction control sensors, etc. Then to counteract the weight they put bigger motors in, which suck more gas... Vicious cycle. Just look at the difference between a MK1 Golf and current VW Golf.
What if you can't lose weight? What if you have some gland disorder? What if you're a pituitary freak like me and might be considered thin but still weigh in close to 300 pounds? Who the hell would spend the time and money to figure out how much gas you could conceivably save if you dropped some pounds? What the fuck is the world coming to? Yeah, that's the answer on conserving fuels, have fat peoples lose weight?!?! Sheeit.
more liberal bs is all that story is...i heard it on the way home from pickin up my kids from school.. i bout spilled my beer all over my chilli dog!!!! but seruiosly, mmmm....beer moral,,,media will be the death of all!!!! and thats true!!!!
You know what....there are ALOT of things that offend me.......maybe I should bitch about it on the HAMB.......hahaha. Go paint something Tingler!!! Jusfukinwityabro!!
It helps performance that's for sure.. when I was still racing motorcycles we equated 1 hp to every 7 lbs. I guess these days I'd need at least another 6 or 7 hp.
The problem is that people have no idea what "Fat" is anymore... The 'Weight Charts' all use fucked logic. People don't realize that a person that looks like a fatass might actually weigh less than the jock that's 1/3 his size, standing next to him. It's about density not size...
Do they still make Twinkies...? All I can find around here is Little Debbie. My life sucks... I've had to take to drinking Hershey's syrup straight from the bottle. JOE
Wait a minute, Wait a minute!!! BRB........ FLUSH........ There, I did my part, I should be able to get another .0001 mpg more now.... Tinger, saw that too, it's just so much BS, just to fill space in the paper. Yea it was in piss poor taste though. Sort of like the signs we used to have on the back bumper, "No Fat Chicks"
I'm a 6 foot tall heavy weight and I don't know about the gas milage i'm getting but i sure get alot of traction fer them burnouts.
You're just upset because you are looking at the facts through the warped lens of the media--straighten out the kinks in the logic, and the issues will become clear: Screw mileage--subract the weight under discussion and look at your new E.T.!! And..."It's about density not size..." Damn right. Go to the search function and you'll see the HAMB has had lots of good discussions on drilling holes in stuff that's too dense...
Hell i'm 6 foot tall and a big fat ass, i aint gotta worry about gas milage, hell i;ll probly never fit in my rod anyway!
