Technical Anybody used a Hot Rod Company "T" gas tank?

I bought an oval Model T type tank a few years back to use in my RPU. It is soldered on the ends and looks solid enough, the fill tub has very shallow threaded cap with just a paper gasket. But before I build all the mounts and plumbing, I wondered if anybody has used one and did it hold up in use? Did the sender work okay? It's not baffled - is that going to be a problem? My engine is carbed not FI.
