    As a kid I sort of remember Walter Cronkite driving the one with thumb holes on a Saturday morning news/feature show. I thought it was a Chrysler product but that's an old old memory.

    I dont know how dangerous it is, but it would sure be cool in a wild custom. Any more info sure would be apprecieated

    Never seen the steering devise, but the dash is just like my 66 Parklane.

    dash styling make me think Ford......Ummm!o_O you better dress for the crash with that steering wheel...

    Yea, after watching the vid I didnt realize that you turn the little wheels to steer instead of the whole thing. A crash helmet probably would be appropriate If driving at speed:confused:

    I remember reading the article about that in a back issue of Mechanix Illustrated, Popular Mechanix, or something similar that my grandpa gave me in the early 70s. I thought it was crazy. Mid 60s, as I recall. Just a new way to steer a car, it was another Ford "better idea" that didn't catch on because it was such a bad idea.
