    Are there any such transmissions?

    BTW
Can steel (brake) disc debris enter the gear chamber in a Lenco?
Why do you have to change oil so often?

    tnx guys

  2. What are you using it in? Lenco's aren't really a good trans for a street car, even street strip, been there done that.
I did a Jeffco for a guy with a 638" 57 Chevy and it is much more street friendly, especially the ability to downshift.

When you move the lever on each trans section of a Lenco all you are doing in manually applying a band to lock up the planetary gear set to bring that section from underdrive to direct. So if that is what you mean by disc debris, the answer is yes.

Lenco hasn't used drum bands in 30 years, its now a drum pack with friction disc's and steels, If the lever is off to the side its an old drum and band, if its in the center then the lever action pushes a wedge down to compress the pack.
