That has a great stance to it.... I may have to buy a Model A Ford, and put one of my Hemi's in it. With this look, how could I resist????

Question.... I am not a Ford guy and I have to ask... Did they make Model A's with rumble seats?

    We did a series of photos of my friends car with 6:00-16 front, 7;50-16 rear Firestones and only wheel cover changes. DSCN4433.JPG DSCN4434.JPG DSCN4435.JPG DSCN4437.JPG DSCN4438.JPG DSCN4439.JPG DSCN4440.JPG DSCN4441.JPG DSCN4442.JPG DSCN4443.JPG

If you get the details right, it doesn't have to look "goofy" -- my old 30 coupe was a great looking little hot rod.
    Loved that car.

In always a chop guy but there's plenty of cars that look great unchopped. Its the whole package. If all the details flow then the car looks awesome. If the whole thing doesn't work together the car looks disjointed chopped or not

  19. One of the coolest parts of doing what we love so much is that our rides typically reflect what we like with the money available. That's how all this started out anyway. From the super low buck to the super high buck they all great to see on the road!

I am another that thinks they are super cool looking! If you like it then by all means make it happen!

Great pictures in this thread, and I mean great looking Model A's. However most of them do not address your height problem as they are channeled, channeling may be even worse for a big guy than chopping. The easy way to make a Model A unchopped look good is to run 32 frame rails. They look very good under a Model A chopped or unchopped. you also said you are on a budget, so that just may leave the deuce rails out.

Another thing you might consider is just to channel it a small amount over the Model A frame. It is a compromise that's for sure, but if you only channel something like 2" remove the package tray so that you can move the seat as far back as possible, this just may work and look good to boot.

I am also a big man, not quite as tall as you but at 6'4" Chops and channels can be a problem. I decided to build a 2 door sedan because of that problem. I chopped my sedan over 6" but I had the advantage of a lot of room to move the seat back in the sedan.

Just build the damn thing the way you have to, to make it fit and then drive the wheels off of it. Good Luck!
