Ever hear the saying, "They don't build 'em like they used to!"?

Click on this link and read about an 84-year-old and how he spends his day in "Grandpa's Garage." Don't forget to click on pages 2, 3, and 4.

The yellow 1929 boat tail sportster in front started as a Model A Ford. The front is still close to the original, but
the long boat tail is the modified hood from a 1947 Chevy truck.

I know Dean, he's a pretty neat fellow. He doesn't look his age at all. His collection of cars is amazing, the collection of parts even more so. I was at an auction last fall where he was "guiding" a couple bidders as to what some Model A's were worth.

I met him many years ago, I had the front clip taken off of a 1937 Buick, and had driven it down the road a couple miles to a local car wash to clean up the engine and chassis a bit. When I got there, I realized that I hadn't tightened the lug nuts on one of the front wheels, and I had no wrench. Not two minutes later a string of Model A's wheeled into the place next door, led by Dean in a beautifully restored cream colored coupe. He sauntered over to look at the old Buick, and loaned me a wrench when I told him my predicament.
