I saw the back of a roadster one time. Looked like it would look pretty cool. Don't know.

    Coupe or roadster.

  2. I remember seeing a 35 Ford highboy coupe back in the mid 80's,,I believe the guy was out of Ohio,he had done some metal massaging to enhance the look at the rear of the car where the fenders would have fit the body, sorry no photos. HRP

Anything 35 and newer (ford) without fenders is hard to pull off successfully.
The only ones that look right (to me) have the front axle moved forward so the grills not sticking out in front of the tires.

It has fenders but check out Flyinbrian's '36. It's super bitchin'!

  6. Don't think they look right without fenders, unless you want it to look like an old
    dirt track jalopy racer.

  7. Reviving this thread to see if anyone knows of any pictures floating around or any builds / info etc.

A certain 36 5 window hiboy happens to be one of my favorite hotrods.

  9. The 36 above is clearly channeled so is not by any stretch a Hiboy. JW

I don’t think they look good fenderless. If doing it, the proportions would look much better by moving the front axle forward.

Rubbo’s had rear fenders, and I think was channeled. So not a highboy.

Not a roadster, but a 36 I'm thinking of buying.
Even has a 392 Hemi in it.

One of the neatest rods I have seen was a 35 two door sedan on tall wire wheels. It was green and super cool. We have discusssed it on here before. Seems like someone found a picture.

  18. Nice 36 but it Needs a hood, (and good luck with finding one (I am told they are hard to find)).

It seems to me, pulling off a good looking 36 5 window hiboy is rarity.
