Have any of you Comet fans ever tried to build a 1964 Comet Super Cyclone like this prototype ?
Got a BIGGER picture of it???...
thats kinda cool,
it looks like a mercury and 64-66 barracuda cross bred
That's what I was thinkin'...
You will have to double click to read the text...i think i saw this posted elsewhere on here.
well you cant get much more detail than in 117harv 's post - Im a cuda fan myself ( Mopar guy for a long time ) but Ive always liked the Comet, so I may try to build this when I finish my current project - Jaxx
I didnt know about this car.
I like it...
At some point I was thinking about putting '64 Mustang fastback roof on a round Falcon.
This probably isnt a million miles from that...
It was in Car Life too. I have the issue around here somewhere...Pretty high profile car at the time...
I honestly always thought it ugly. The std HT roofline looks better IMO. Actually, I always thought the stock '64 Caliente was maybe one of the 3-4 best looking American cars of the sixties.
I've had a picture of it in the garage and a Barracuda roof just waiting for the right Comet to come along. That car is just amazing.
how about this with a 69 or 70 cyclone roof line - no wrap arround glass - jaxx
That car loks like an Alexander Bros build.
This thread seems to be garnering some interest, I'll try to dig out the Car Life article.
That looks like a 66 Charger, the other one looks like a Barracuda, pfftt, MoPar wannabes
All bullshit aside, all Comets from '61 to '65 were damn good looking cars.
That's freakin cool as hell.
Here are some additional pictures of the Comet and a drawing found of a '63 Sprint with a Mustang Fastback roof.
A charger done by Ford.
