The family and I are going to Seattle for MEA weekend. Leaving this wed and returning Sunday. Are there any cool rod shops to check out in the area or car shows this weekend?

    Thanks Tim

Mate not a rod shop or show but just out of Seattle is Snohomish - main street has lots of antique shops (some specialising is gas and oil), coffee shops etc

Lemay Museum in Tacoma next to the Tacoma Dome, just south of Seattle. Lots of stuff to see. If you're interested in seeing one of Harold Lemay's personal storage facilities, check out the Lemay Family Museum at Marymont Academy in Spanaway. The grounds are just as cool as the collection! http://www.lemaymuseum.org/ is the address for the one in Tacoma, and http://www.lemaymarymount.org/tacoma-car-museum/ is the one at Marymont. Both are cool, if you have the time. I'm partial to Marymont, but that's probably because I used to be a volunteer mechanic out there.

We were planing on the LeMay Museum, The Marymount is now on our list as a stop in Sanhomish. I am a huge fan of gas and oil and anything old.

  6. If your at Lemay & really like Hot Rod stuff see if you can stop by Thun Field Rod And Custom. It's close by. Don't know the address or number but Marshall always has lots of cool projects & good stuff to look at.

Got back late last night. Had a blast. My boys loved the Lemay Museum. We got to Sanhomish around 4:30 on Friday and all the shops closed at 5 so did not get to see most of them, no time to go back in the agenda but wish we could have. Most stuff looked awesome other than the prices....

I will say for the amount of tin I saw sitting you guys up there must not drive your stuff. I did not see one rod or muscle car out and about. Everything was sitting and looked like it had been for a while.

Does anyone have the current address for Thun Field R&C? I have tried google with no luck. Guess I will have to call them if I can find the number.
