Just wanting general info. Went to the web-site and just saw the registration info. Is there any kind of a band line up yet or activities schedule? Is it too early El Jefe??? Am I asking too much? Don't make me come down there and slap Reggie around!

Yeah, I think it would be over before it started!! Reggie could throw me the length of a football field!

THEM!-Tulsa are trying to get our shit together. We have a lot of stuff coming up and I'm trying to get everyone on the same page. We should have a showing Whitey!

Could someone please give me the rundown on the daily activites that revolve around the Roundup from lets say Thursday thru Sunday. I think I remember Reggie having something on Thursday?? From when to when? Does the Roundup actually start on Friday or Sat? If the actually event doesn't start till Sat, what activities are going on Friday? Is the show on Sunday as well? Till what time?? Inquiring minds wanna start planning:D

When are you planning on heading down, Denise? The Chicago crew is leaving Wednesday morning.

As for a line up... all I know is that Django and my band, the Hot Rod Hucksters, are playing at one of the bars one of the nights (not the Kontinental though)

Wed morning as well from Detroit. So far it looks like I'm traveling solo with Big Olds. Depending on timing I might only be a couple of hours behind you.

Nope, lots of zipcode posers in Michigan:rolleyes::D

Not sure yet, I've gotta check a map but probley go just as if I was heading to the HAMB Drags. Around Indy to St Louis then southwest toward Springfield. It takes me about 15 hours to get to Joplin and I was seriously thinking that might be my stop for the nite. Probley JimC house.:D

I'm going to try to have my wagon roadworthy by then. It won't be pretty. :(

Maybe next year I'll drive something else, lol.

That wagon looks kick ass as is!

I'm not sure what our route is. Magnet or Hotrodchassis would know better.

I "hear" though that if we were to go west and then down to avoid St Louis, that it is farther but faster. Anyone know?

  13. Chad - 55 to OKC / 35 south to Austin is hard to beat; just take the bypasses at St Louis, Tulsa, OKC and DFW. 35 West (thru Ft. Worth) is better than 35 East.

Reggie had a shop crawl on Thursday and Friday. On friday afternoon you get your packets at the Continental Club and Cruise Congress till late night. The actual show starts Saturday at the park should be around 9 I think you can start showing up. Bands etc, vendors, etc will be on the grounds all day. Everyone departs after the awards and heads back to the Continetal Club and cruise all night again. This is the best part. So many cool hot rods on one street. Then Sunday they have a cruise to the lake with some pretty points of interest. Hope this helps Aint sure about the shop crawl again but I bet Reggie has something up his sleeve for sure. We will be heading out of Dallas on Friday morning to head down.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I sure hope to see the Dirty Little Midget there. In fact, perhaps I can take her for a ride at some point in Big Olds that weekend.

it looks like it's 8 hours to Joplin from Chicago, and 8 hours from Joplin to Austin. Sounds like a good stopping place for us, too! Maybe we could all meet there and make the second leg of the trip together

Jen and I are heading down Thurdsay this year...
Sorry Tulsa boys, but I won't be at the house for a THEM slumber party...
I could always leave a key out for you guys if you want to use the house Thursday night.
And you know that the mighty Caesar is playing again this year...
    Friday night!
Hopefully we'll have actual CD's for sale this year (who knows).

I'll wait and let ElJefe give the final band line-up as I think that it is still in the works......

I can't wait for this year.
Hopefully the shoebox will make it.
I spent about 6 hours last Sunday flushing and soaking, flushing and soaking, and then flushing some more. There didn't seem to be much coming out so at this point I am moving on to the right side water pump.
I plan on pulling it this weekend.
Is there a way to tell by visual inspection once the pump is removed, if the pump is bad or worn and not working properly, or should I plan on replacing it and see if that fixes the overheating right side....
I am saving pulling the head as a last resort.

    Little D is my fave.

Oh and Danny, I'm bringing some chalk, were playing hopscotch and you can't stop us! :p

I'm heading out Friday morning too, so if you pass a primered '53 B, with almost no chrome on the side of the road with my big ass hanging out of the hood, that's me. So don't honk, I startle easy, and that hood hurts when you jump. ;)
