I'm going to be out of town (damnit) so if you see Hatch trying to take up two parking spaces while claiming to be saving one for me do your best Titus imitation and disable that RAT ROD/DEATH ROD roadster. HAHA!!!
Personally, I don't think anyone should go. I hear its going to snow all weekend.

I just found out recently that I won't be at work that Friday due to illness...guess I may as well go to Frankenmuth. Frank, can I have your space?

I'll be there but there's virtually no way I'm going to get my Camaro running by then. Argh. Two years in a row!

    Chris,
If you make it up Friday night look for the Torrid Torquers on Main St in front of the Oscar Rau's furniture store. Saturday and Sunday we will be on the little dirt row that runs down to the river. Stop by and I'll show ya my ragtop shoebox. [IMG]

I'll be there Friday AFTER work and will look for you Torrid Torquers on Main Street. I'm staying the whole weekend, although I don't know where yet, probley in my folks room as I'm flat broke after my cross country adventures... unless, of course, I get a better offer. [IMG]

    Denise,
Can't wait to hear the stories about your trip! If you don't make it up in time Friday you know where we will be Saturday. I'm sure we can make room for Big Olds if you want to park on the dirt road with us.

Ill be there all weekend, Fri, sat, and Sunday. I'll be the large dude with the flat black, chopped and channeled A, with the orange wheels and bias plys. Hey Denise, you might remember me from 2002, I am the guy who lost the wheel on the Impala wagon, down by Coldwater, MI on my way to Indy. See everybody there.

Denise, you'd have to pass the "initiation" first. [IMG]
Hatch, our self elected president, is in charge of that. You'll have to ask him for details. [IMG]

Denise, You can borrow my Torrid Torquers plate for the weekend. Just tell everyone you are a associate member and you've had your swearing in ceremony posponed until the next Mid-Michigan Breakfast get together. I'll send you all the official documents, should be there by the first of next week.
BTW if you relate all of the Bonneville stories to everyone this weekend you'll just have to repeat them when I see you and Gus next.

    Okay...where is this joint?!?

I may just have to drive up there and sweet talk old Hatch into selling the Vic body to finance his Fearsome Four-Door project....and I'll steal all of Donzie's hangin' rope, too! [IMG]

I tried a little drive today, and it went fine...I think Old Doctor Fat Hack can give himself the 'okay' to drive once more...so where in Frankenmuth do I go...or do I just follow the noise and rukus past all the fried chicken and christmas goodies till I spot y'all???

(I'll be up on Saturday if I go!)

  16. Rich, I'll definately look for you guys. I'm leaving at 2p.m Friday. Fat Hack, it's in the back yard of the Bavarian Inn and also across the street. It's a great show.

Hey guys, I'll be there Friday, and Sunday, but Saturday I'll be at the fastest streetcar shootout at the Mid Michigan Motorplex in Stanton. Any of you guys that need more than the 14's & 15's from the Hamb Drags to get excited should check it out! [IMG] I'll be driving the flat black 62 chevy II up in Frankenmuth. If any of you spot me come introduce yourselves.
BTW : it's about 10-15 mins from my house to Frankenmuth, so if anyone needs someplace to wrench or whatever, just lemme know!

Al was suppose to be painting my S-10 but only did half the job after he ripped the NEW exhaust off of it and used it as a beater shop truck and dented the hell out of my formarly dent free bed. yeah, he's a great guy, what a true friend. oh yeah, he stiffed me about $500 on some work i did on a truck he painted too. we don't say the "A" word around here anymore, it only makes me mad [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

but yes we did go to Tommy Z's. i dig that little Chevy of yours. doin anything cool to it or building anything new???

Yeah, I heard "A" has done quite a few people like that, fortunately I haven't been one! I'm still wrenchin on the chevy II, tryin to get it to go quicker. I just took a bunch of weight out of it, got new front shocks and springs and ported the intake, and also got some new tires (30 x 13.50 ET Streets). Then I had Eric weld in some new lower quarters for me and re-shoot it flat black. Should be runnin high tens on the motor, but I want more!

Hey that "A" word is quite a painter but he sure knows how to put the screws to people... including me , but that is in the past. Boy that Hot Rod to Hell guy should wax his car before he goes to frankenmuth, its too dull. Just kidding, see ya there, I'll be the fat guy in the model A sedan with the new orange (minneapolis moline gold to be exact) wheels.

Since no one has set a firm meet and greet time and place how does 12 noon on Saturday at the Torrid Torquers encampment? Sounds like it's going to be along the DIRT road that leads to the grassy, treed area. Just look for FuelPumps yellow ragtop, Donzie's tub or Hatch's roadster and/or Big Olds.

Looking forward to seeing old buds and meeting new ones.

That's a good idea Denise. Just go through the gate and follow the cars turning left. We are right at the very beginning of the dirt road on the left. We will have a hot rod hangout area there.

That's cool and all, but are you guys talking about in the car show area, or someplace for those of us that drive our cars? [IMG] If you have to pay to register yer cars in the show they can (fill in the blank with the verb of your choice)
I was thinkin' maybe on the north side of town, like at McD's or something, but let me know!

BTW: Is anyone cruizin Fri. night? Maybe we could meet at McD's then?

Okay, I've got my Camaro. Will they let a mullet-rod in at the 'Muth? Can anybody give me details about the fastest route from Mt. Pleasant (Midland guys?) and how to get in the show? Feel free to email me ([email protected])! Thanks.

Run straight out that road that the Casino is on (10? 20? 10-20?) all the way to Midland where you can hop onto I-75 South and shoot straight down to the Frankenmuth exit.

I used to run back and forth from Barryton (near Mt Pleasant) to Detroit a few times a week when I lived there and worked here...that route moves along quick and easy most of the time!
