Here is my 64 Crew. I clipped the frame, have a disc brake axle for the rear and a Cummins and 5 speed trans waiting to go in. One day I will drive it again.

  14. Got the '64 down to Big Dad in north TX yesterday in a friggin' driving rainstorm down and back! So, once again, I am Swepty-free. I'll have another one very soon, I'm sure, since they seem to find me. Hopefully, a Crew Cab finds me this time!

Wow!! This is spooky. I have not posted or even surfed on the HAMB in some time. A friend of mine called me the other day, he helped me work on my 60 F-100 back in the day, saying he had a lead on an early 60's Ford truck. I went with him to a vacant home in the country to check it out. The owners had passed and the daughter was wanting to sell grandaddy's truck. When we got there we found the truck was actually a 65 D-100 stepside. It is under cover and still in great shape, although it had not been registered or inspected since '84. My young friend is going to buy it as a new project for him so I logged on and found this thread on the first page. God is talking.

Here's two of mine that I used to own about 25 years ago. The black truck is a 62 with a 340 engine. The bumper was off being repainted when this pic was snapped. The turquoise one was a 67 with a 440.

I sold the 67 to a friend who drove it into the ground. Last I heard, the pickup box was a trailer. The black one... I really like that one.... I blew the engine and with a young family, I had no cash and had to sell it. The new owner put a 400 Chrysler engine in it and enjoyed the truck for years. I used to see it every once in a while.

It dropped out of sight until I happened to spot a similar truck for sale. The truck had been painted flat black, had Model A tailights, dummy spots and this big gay sign on the side. I looked close and saw it was my old truck!!

I thought for about 10 seconds about buying it... But the price was insane, and I would have to paint the truck, fill the holes from the dummy spots and generally "ungay" it to give it back the soul that had been robbed from it.
