I have a 1960-1962 235 engine in my 54 Chevy truck. Since the stock motor mount is impossible to find I picked up one that fits 47-53 trucks. Yesterday I tried installing it but ran into a few problems: 1. The balancer can't go in all the way because now it rubs against the tin motor mount cover plate. What am I doing wrong here? Should I just switch over to a different motor mount plate? Are they higher then the one I have to allow the balancer to clear? 2. I noticed the balancer doesn't bolt on at all. It was just pressed on. Is this normal? Any info is appreciated. Thanks
