Gawd damn that’s about the coolest thing I’ve seen on the h.a.m.b. in quite a while! Absolutely love it. I can tell you love it too. Congrats!!
No..I found the car on Ebay..it was still in Fresno...I bought it and had it shipped here to Carthage...
I just found this thread...way cool little hot rod you have right there... Congrats on getting it running on the roadway....I see you are from Carthage MO...I think my last pair of work boots came from there...Chippewa's... I am following along for sure... MikeC
Well...the 29 is back from the trimmers...as promised here are some pics...sorry for the quality...getting use to a new phone...I have a few suspension issues that I want to do, but it is pretty much done...1958 survivor hot rod....
@Mark Jenny, don'tcha just love technology...I mean I can't for the life of me think why a modern phone camera would take such small ass pics in default these days... I see you bumped them to Full Size, that's better... The Silver lining is once you get the size right you can edit your post... Good luck with your Smart Phone... Plug and Play...yeah right
I can't believe I missed this thread......that Tudor is a time capsule. The only thing I can add is I would cut down on the amount of rubber fuel hose and bend up some lines (limit the rubber to a few inches at the ends).
@Mark Jenny I have followed this thread but my 59 year old brain may have missed mention but are you going to address the more distressed areas such as the bottom cowl and fwd fender... As a future winter project perhaps...just curious... I totally understand the desire to get on the road and also understand the sensitivity of digging into capsules...
Do you know what material was used on the top? Upholstery vinyl, or is it a rubber type closer to stock style?
It's a vinyl..kind of a bone color, not quite as white as the pic shows...we were trying to match the old white fender beading
Knowing the history, true survivor and a new owner that appreciates where all that converges....now that's cool!
