great car; nice save; lucky you. Do not forget: lead free gas today & you have old heads without hardened seats. Find & use a good additive with your gas.

Sounds great, did you hit something when you pulled into the garage?

  7. Awesome car. As a current Fresnan, now I feel like I need to start driving around town, peering into carports and poking under tarps looking for other lost treasures.

I'm going to post a few more videos of my buddy Larry cruising the sedan.Without his support and mechanical knowledge I would still be at ground level with this project...the sedan is strong running and stops on a dime!..theres a bit of suspension work I want to tackle, but nothing major

That motor brings back memories. I bought one just like it from a friend with the duel quad set up in about 1968 and ran it in my 55 Chevy. Paid $75 for the motor.

Great job keeping it the way she was. I looked at the car when Dick Baskin had it up for sale.

wow ..it's a small world...was that before he had Mark put it on Ebay?..that's how I found it...I feel in love with it the first time I saw it in the auction pics....I will be putting on a new top in white like before, and I will do the running boards in white pleats...I'm also having to redo most of the interior..the material was getting very brittle and tearing in spots...I probably would have left it alone except the headliner had to come out, which meant almost every other panel had to come out too..I'll keep it black inside, but I will be using pleats instead of straight vinyl..

Update..the sedan has gone off to the trimmer..will be a couple months at least till its back...new white top and running boards..all new black interior...the old material was to brittle to reuse,so staying with black, but using pleats instead of flat vinyl IMG_2357.JPG IMG_2358.JPG IMG_2360.JPG ..

In 1962 I was 8 years old, but my oldest brother was 16,so I was exposed to many killer hot rods at a young age...I'm sure it is where my love of old hot rods comes from...it is still at the trimmers,I'm glad he is taking his time

So was the car in Carthage?
Did you hear the story on how it got there from California?

Just curious, my Mom and Dad lived on South Grand Avenue in Carthage for several years.
