Just picked up this 1931 Vicky Hot Rod. The fun begins trying to find the history on this time capsule. From what I am told it was on Oahu back in the day. It has some early safety stickers on the windshield. Interior is in pretty decent shape for being a build from back then. Maybe late 1950s build? If anybody has info on it I would greatly appreciate it. Aloha 20230401_165616.jpg 20230401_165648.jpg 20230401_165738.jpg 20230401_171012.jpg 20230401_171022.jpg 20230401_171039.jpg

From going by the bumper, early to mid 50`s with tire/wheel combo added later.

  3. Nice find! Is there an engine in it? Really like that interior.

Yah I like the interior. It runs also. I need to tinker with it though. I was told it was driving last year. It had a safety sticker from last year.

Very cool find! Hopefully and old time islander rodder will recognize it. From the jamb peeling, looks like it was previously dark blue and green.
U of H '57, someone's college ride. Chrome garnish etc. was a nice ride. Buick taillights.
Can anyone ID the year/make of the steering wheel to help date the build?

@IronTrap just frenched/ tunneled/ sunk some 58 Chevy tail lights like that in a roadster recently . Looks killer!

The 39/40 front brakes and the plated/filled drop axle are cool bits to the visual puzzle as well :)

Ok; what about a '31 Victoria? The back just doesn't look right to me.

  27. It is definitely a leatherback Victoria.
The bumper and taillights are not what we are used to seeing, but typical for the build era.

It'll probably make somebody mad but, it really needs a hoped up Olds or some other early ohv engine.
Something like this. Super cool car though.

  29. Those Buick taillights made it onto a lot of cars back then! Love it!
