It's painted, well constructed and doesn't have a tractor grill, are sure it's traditional..? Flame on...

I worked on it for a few hours today, i pulled the hood grille headlights and nerf bar off and put those aside so i could yank out the nailhead, out it came, easy as usual.

I also noticed something when i had the grille out of the way, a hole thru the middle of the crossmember and two mounting bungs (one broke off), and it struck me, the tach drive was mounted to the front crossmember, well thats back where its going!

I also took off the gm ballast resistor and starter relay and gm voltage regulator from the firewall and found the spots where the starter solinoid and ford voltage regulater go, so thats where there going, back where they were.

    What an admirable thing, Titus...

Wonder if you could just 'roll' the front cycle fenders about 20 degrees, bringing the trailing edge downward? It would improve the look considerably.

WOW!!! What a privilage to get to work on an original 'back in the day" hot rod. You've got history in our hands every time you touch it. Congrats on taking the owner on a path to the past. If not now, he WILL thank you when this thing gets on the road and he experiences all of the attaboys he is sure to get as he drives it. Keep us informed as you continue down the path of restoration.

No changes are going to be made to anything, this is the way it was, and thats the way its going to be.

Yep, i like nailheads too, but theres a time and place, and this isnt either!

Way cool! Im glad the decision was made to keep it the way it was!! Sometimes that is the only way to go on certain stuff.

Damn that's cool. Looks eerily similar to the roadster sitting in my garage, that I'd LOVE to find more history on.

    Keep the updates coming.

Awesome! This was only 20 minutes away from me, I hope I get a chance to see it in person sometime. You do great work and I can't wait to see progress.
