A couple pics. Finally got some phone service
Just got home from Byron . It was nice meeting you. I may have missed a run but saw you make 2 nice passes. Hope you finish out the week even better!
Thanks! Good to see you too. First pass was 10.35 which was too slow. Throttle linkage was not opening fully, found the problem quick but had to wait three hours to make another pass.
So is that your secret......runnin a throttle stop?
I could never get phone service at Byron either, see you tomorrow and good to see you made it to Great Lakes Dragway .
II cool rusty !
Hmmmm... Seems kind of vague on the details. I like it! Keeps 'em guessin'.
Fitting considering it came after the car was done.
It is Plan II
just behind you....left Sacramento Saturday.....stayed in Tumcunmcari on Sunday.....good luck bud !
Squirrel, you are having too much fun!

Grind the gauge. Change the prints. Save the part.
Best part of Dragweek was watching a fellow Meltdown racer compete in it at Byron. Good seeing you again Jim and good luck the rest of the week.
Kinda looks like Wile E. Coyote's handwriting on those plans. But the car works too good for that to be true.
Squirrel just ran 10.08 @ 131.57 - watch it at appx -2.56 mark

10.08, that's good.
Happy with the run today. Pulled the front wheels a bit. Felt real good.
Brian drove the fuel coupe to the track but won't run.
So many fans here. It's great!
Nice job Jim,that's about as fast as you are allowed to run correct?
10.00 because of the safety gear
Only goes back to -1.56, from what I see.
I suspect these times change until it's actually in the can at night.
Haven't found Jim's runs yet, since Monday. Can't sit here and watch the whole thing during the day.
Really nice meeting and talking a bit with you today Jim. Another nice run today and you can't beat the crowd size around here, we love it ! You really do make this look way too easy which we all know is not the case. Good luck tomorrow and safe travels home.
Jim and dan stopped by to see my place. They pitched in putting everything back together. We fixed the trans last night so i drove the coupe to the track. I was at the top end and got a great view of jims great
run. I have seen the car make alot of passes over the years but they were all from the starting line.
This picture says it all, nice picture Brian !!!
