Running from memory here, you break out of your class if you get into the 9's? Seems like a sub-10 pass is in reach based on that slip. Well done!

 

Pretty sure he did a high 9 first past last year!

I was watching the stream, announcers said the index for that particular class was 10.00, a car went 9.80's,but was not allowed to turn in that time slip

That chevelle needs a sign on it that says Snail power

 

I think the reason he stays in the 10's is a tech thing. You get into the 9's you need a whole bunch of extra safety items. Then you might get the privilege of obtaining a license for that speed as well. It gets your doctors attention when you need to have an ekg done and you have to pay cash for it. Insurance will not pay for it. NHRA says you need it.

 

I can't seem to watch the video (claims an error), but that this thread is awesome, Jim is as well, and that little car is dang quick!
