Well lots of work since the last update. I did the bodywork on the roof, then pulled off the strips on the quarters and welded up the seams. Then the gas door had to go. Relocated the filler into the trunk. Of course the half ass taillights had to go. Time to put it in one color primer. Still have the vent windows and garnish moldings to do. But he wants to drive it for a little while, so those will wait. Plus I'm tired of looking at it.

Super nice proportions on that chop! It looks like it came that way from the factory. I too really dislike overly chopped cars with weird back glass - or no back glass (filled in the hole with metal.) Great work. BTW, is your avatar a shot of your car? I love that thing every time I see it.

I dig it, perfect proportions. Awesome craftsmanship also, doesn’t look like it should have taken much mud.

One a side note, I use cleco clamps but have never used the box looking clamps with the wing nuts on top. Are they easier to use then the clecos? What are they called and where do you get them?

I use clecos also. These panel clamps work great on flat areas. You can get them from Eastwood Co. or I got mine from Harbor Freight. They are pretty cheap.

Thanks guys. I tried really hard to keep the proportions right on. I wanted it to look like it came from the factory that way.

Thanks, I'm only 32 and I have been messing with cars as long as I can remember. I chopped my first car with my dad at 13. I still have that car as well. I'm really happy how this one turned out, and so is the customer.
