Early this year I decided to gather much of the early bits I had collected from over the years and finally have a crack at building my own hi-boy roadster.
There are many cars from the HAMB and all over the internet as well as many historic cars from builders well known and some that are not well known that I have liked and put into the back of my head. There were some small changes to the initial plan but the same basic format was to stay, it was to be a model A roadster on a '32 chassis with a 1948- 1952 style.
It's now over 6 months since this project started and only 7 months until the Model A Birthday Bash which was the inspiration to get started on this deal.
So far, the work has been fun as I learn a few things along the way and to be honest, I cannot say it will be finished in time for the event, as there is a long way to go but the journey so far has been good

Hi Andy, I met you at Yamba a few years ago when you had the Plymouth coupe. Yes, Blue Mountains Hot rod club is still going.
Technical glitch Stogy, thanks for the quick warning. Still rusty with the newer format.

The pics are there. They load sort of slow and there is extra links on your page to same images. Great thing is you can edit your posts anytime as you figure the in & outs. I post pics from hard drive on computer and select full image. I think yours are from your Hamb Album. It is not the image size that seems fine.

Anyway again your onto a great build...Retroline.

Nope . We were about 50 miles or so South of Sydney near the Wollongong area in the Lake Illawarra district.... I do miss the beach though...:(
I still Google the house that I lived in.. My little sister was born at Port Kembla Hospital in 1966...

Thanks guys, a little more progress this week. Got the front floor partially decorated, dash choice sorted and mounted the headlights. I know that BLC's look better against a '32 shell but I'm using as much as I have sitting here.

    Small adjustment on the headlights.
Pulled an old 37 column drop apart, will clean up the parts that can be saved and replace ignition and tag. Also started on a seat frame but hardware was out of the ply I needed so will get that part sorted during the week.
