ok so to make a long story short

guy has a 36 3 window rumble seat ford. complete and rust free and when I say rust free I mean it. its been in a garage its whole life and has been in primer sittin in the same garage since 70s when he was gonna hot rod it

un-chopped un-molested, the only thing is I think he said its on a 40 ford frame an its got a small block in it

other than that complete and even comes with extra fenders and all sorts of parts

what's it worth and what's a "good deal"

and realistic not " whatever you'll pay bla bla"

    what do you guys think?

Pictures and way, way more info are needed. Somewhere between 5 and 30K from what you have described there.

If I had any money and if complete rust free body I would pay at least 10K minimum.

So the guy has a 36 three window...
does he want to sell it -- or is he gonna "build it some day"?
If he wants to sell it, has he named a price? If so what is it?
Or is he "looking for an offer"? (And when he gets your offer, will he then shop it around and say "roadster Rod offered me $xx, what do you offer?"

Have you asked how much he wants for it? That would be the place to start.

Hes only wants $10,000 for it ,no pics and you claim its rust free. Why are you even asking what its worth ? Are you wanting it to build or just flip ?

  22. if it's what you say it's worth the 10 grand.....i've seen guys asking more for junk

there is a POS on that auction site right now with a "but it now" of the same money your guy is asking. i see no one has taken him up on it

you say complete, but does it have a deck lid and all the garnish moldings?

Get a crystal ball :) depends on what part of the US as far as if it would sell in a minute or not, for his 10k price. Depending on who you listen to, prices on most everything may crash HARD soon. But....do you care, or worry?

I noticed the market and prices on everything has been suuuuper soft lately

yes the decklid and rumble seat are in it, theres still a seat In the rumble lid.. and yes garnish mouldings windows its there

its like he had the car from wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back then just decided to strip it and prime it and repaint it

  25. I guess it depends where you live. A friend got a complete one here a few years ago at an auction similar to what you described, but with some rust. He paid $12,500 and everyone thought he paid too much. He got it home but hadn't taken it off his trailer when someone showed up, offered $15,000 and took it home. Guess it wasn't worth too much after all. Pat

I live in east coast in the heart of rought and rust,i was amazed to find my model A in such good condition when I did...still had to do all the lowers and subrails

  28. Take cash, take a really good look at the car & make a deal. Without pictures it's a guess.

If it is what you say it is, I would be more worried about it getting away, than what it is worth. You know it is a steal, do you want to hear it one more time?
