Projects another f-100 build thread

this started out as a chopped 53 cab on a somewhat built chassis that i started 20 years ago

 

after looking at it i really didnt like the chopped cab anymore , what i really wanted was a 56 and i had an old friend that just happened to have one trick was , for how much ?

 

well i scored 200.00 bucks the doors were rotten after gathering who knows what for 15 years and one lower cowl section , fast forward a couple months cause i cant find the pics here it is on the cleaned up frame

Yep, 20 years ago those Volare front ends were the "thing". My 57 F100 is the same.
I like all effie's but 56 is the tops for sure IMHO.

 

oh yeah i installed that volare in a friends carport and it was snowin hahah , i took off my welders helmet and noticed a inch of snow around lol we decided wed better wait for better weather , thanks yeah i like those 56, s too , i once had a couple 56 panels ill see if i can dig up a old pic of em ,

 

well heres the dash and doors painted the dash wired and guages installed

 

i was thrilled when i recieved those guages and they had the domed glass !
