Our club plate topper. Instead of bolting to the plate, I made a mount on the rear end. Nice, neat place for it. Two friends of mine and I started the club in 1978. Today we have over 90 members.

Why is it covered up? I thought you'd be painting by now.

Decided to take care of the wiring where the paint is being held up with this COVID-19 outbreak. All stuff that has to be done, so all good. Wiring 1.jpg Wiring 2.jpg Wiring 3.jpg Wiring 6.jpg Wiring 5.jpg Dash wiring 1.jpg Dash wiring.jpg

Baron, any photos of where you ran the wires after they drop from the fuse panel, also any shots that show if/where they enter/exit the frame both front and rear of frame.

I'll take some better pictures in the next day or two. Here is where the wires will enter the frame for the headlights and cooling fans, gas sending unit and tail lights, along with the positive battery cable to the starter. Paints on hold due to COVID-19. Continuing the wiring and finishing other little details. All good.

Finished wiring the dash panel and ran all the wires out to the headlights, tail lights, gas gauge ,etc. Tested it all yesterday, and every thing works. My plan was to do this after paint, but this COVID-19 changed things up a bit. All good. Stay safe and healthy. 20200418_132125.jpg 20200425_174142.jpg

Bolted the tail lights in place to finish the wiring to the back of the car to make sure they work. 20200427_165403.jpg

Looks real good, i have the same car. Can you tell me where you got the trans tunnel? I want to replace the stock type tunnel/firewall and that one you have would work well. Appreciate it

A slip roll? Otherwise known as a workbench, some lengths of angle iron, a few C clamps, and maybe a welding gas bottle.

I bent this using a vise on my work bench, then used a brake to bend the flanges. Made it out of cardboard first, then transferred it to the sheet metal. Gas welded it together, bead blasted the weld, scuffed it with some 180 , and a skim of bondo to hide the weld. Trans tunnel 1 x.jpg

Lol, looks smooth...everytime i try that it comes out wrinkled looking. I have an old argon bottle i will try and use as a helper get it rolled over. After i sectioned the body, i need a taller tunnel to give bellhousing clearance.

Mounted the battery box and kill switch this past Friday. Picked out the material for the seat, and hope to have that upholstered in the next few weeks. Battery box 1.jpg Battery box 3.jpg Battery box behind seat 1.jpg

We had snow flurries yesterday, but melted as soon as it hit the ground. Nice and sunny this morning, but rain came in this afternoon. Better weather will be coming soon. All car events have been canceled her in New England. Hopefully things will get somewhat back to normal before the summer's over.
