I wish that I could go to the Drags but it is fall break and the "Bryan" family is all going to
Branson. I'll have fun hanging out with my dad. We may have to drive up sometime to see
    the truck...

Dang man, looks NICE on the ground! I got my 65 running and driving over the summer, then money ran out so she sits in the garage for now, but this has me thinking I need to bite the bullet and find a way of getting a crown vic front end and front and rear bags. I want to shorten the frame and bed anyway. LOL

all loaded up and ready to hit Tulsa raceway park, for the duck drags!
this was supposed to be the end of the golden years for this facility, but that may not quite be the case now. either way, nice track and the duck drags where a f'in blast. the truck is not a race car by any means, but curiosity in me had to know what she'd run. the little 289 with a cruise o matic was a real dog outta the hole, but had good top speed. ran 2 15.7 s and a 15.4 all at 97 -98 mph!

Must say that you are above quick! the only way i'd build this fast would be if i had Doc's Delorean w/ a trailer!!!

Glad to be a motivator to ya!

Yes the mph is there , but it needs to get off the line. no worries though, it's not a race truck just a cruiser
It will all be the same silver ( silver streak gm) as the fire wall and interior are now. Simple color, that if I decide to get crazy later will be a good base for some candies!

haven't really had too much time to work on this ol girl the past week or so.
i did get the windows tinted red, ( not quite sure im totally into that just yet?) and pulled the 3rd member, assuming it had at least a 3.73 gear or so in it the way it was winding out on the hwy. pulled it apart and was going to install a 3.10 gear. the rear had no tag so it was a guess as to what was in it. after pulling it all apart, it has a 3.25! that is perfect. it has yellow marking on it so im guessing it has been replaced sometime after ford built it? all the bearing felt good and the wear was great , so back in it went. ill just have to keep her slower then 75 on the hwy. i also picked up a tach yesterday, so i can see where it is on the hwy, instead of guessing. i may not want to know!

working on getting the tach in today and finishing up the bed floor.

Man, I've been so busy I forgot about this thread. And you went and finished it!! Wow, looks fucn sweet! I like the wiring. Those guys at Rebel are awesome. I went through the same thing with a 55 Fairlane recently. My uni will have gm switches!!
You gonna make it to Pistons and Paint? I'd love to see the truck in person.

I like this truck more and more every time I see it. Really like the choice in wheel color, should go great with a silver paint job. You gonna work something in to go with the red tinted windows?

    Thanks!
The interior is red and the inside of the bed will be red line x. I'm still undecided on the tint, some days I dig it, some I don't. It's really weird in the sun light when you drive it. At night all the lights look like demon eyes

the center section of the floor will be held in place with s.s. button head Allen's, that will be able to be removed to service the suspension from the top side or the fuel tank that mounts from the top. there will be 4 " runners" of brushed aluminum that will break up the floor from being too smooth and also hide the Allen heads a little.

Not a silly question,I decided I didn't want to bead the floors in this one,I like the smoothed look, it will be line x'ed soon. The floor ha a whole subframe skeleton under it. 1x2 box 11gauge tubing. It's plenty strong enough for 2choppers or motors etc...
