    Great job, Halfmoon Bay drags. Raced there in the 60s,Crashed there in 1969 D/A.

    I gotta say again, great pics and memories.
    Great for people like me on the other side of the world!
    I enjoyed meeting Andy and Sue at the New Zealand Street Rod Nats in 1997 I think it was. And then again at the California Hot Rod Reunion one year. I tapped Andy on the shoulder at the Doubletree and he showed me around and introduced me to all these people - it was just fantastic.
    I have hoped to stay in touch better with you guys

    i remember all the cars i met your dad at Boccas machine shop
    did Steve Archer build bodies in his basement in SF i met him when i was about 10 or so

    the TT in my pic i still drive had it on the road in 74
    i drove the blue & silver 56 NO Mad for years in San Rafael also

    bought lots of goodies to build other cars from Roy for friends

    dont know if your dad remembers me tall him hi

    Yep Archer did build bodies in his basement in San Bruno, we actually lived about 1 block away at the time. I will pass on the Hello's to my Dad.

  7. I met Steve Archer when i was about 13
    Gregg Swanson brought me over when they were putting the red touring car body on the frame
    i think it was the first of that body
    Gregg"s dad Cal had Swanson's Jewelry
    he was a friend of Steves
    there were 3 other people there i do not remember who

    i bought the orange rail the first 200 mph car at Halfmoon Bay drag Strip
    the one before dennis died in
    it had been painted purple it matched some pictures Bob had
    sold it to Vern Tardell
    id not get the picture to come with this its in post #119
     
  9. Incredible photos! I wish Andy would post on here; really nice guy, I have talked with him for hours on the telephone, even though he never met me. Just loves hot rods and wants to pass it on. Thanks for this!

  21. Teri a couple of years back I called your brother and he was cool enough tp get Archer to build me one of the scoops for my 32,when I sold the car I kept the scoop,I'll never get rid of that.....Very cool family.

    cool flash back, went to the last crow canyon pk picnic in '77, went to the shop in s.sf and meet the man himself in '72 say the c-cab panel and tow truck, thanks for showing. RD
